Have you cross stitched on Sulky cotton petite, 12 wt that comes on a reel? What are the advantages or disadvantages of it when compared to DMC?

GOOD MORNING - What's on your mind TUESDAY
Good Tuesday morning everyone. Today it's laundry day and getting the house in order for tomorrow's surgery. I'll be a little under the weather for a few days, but I've been through this before and I'll make it. Anyone who has been through a Moh's surgery or knows someone who has had it knows how it goes. I'll work on my personal sheep virtues SAL today and it's virtue this month is "faith". Last month was "courage". I'll keep that in mind. Have a terrific Tuesday.
GOOD MORNING - What's on your mind SATURDAY
Good another rainy Saturday morning everyone. The University of Notre Dame held a peaceful pro-Palestinian demonstration demanding the cease of arms sales to Israel as it goes against their Catholic values. (Today's photo) They are also asking for a cease fire. I have to agree that it definitely goes against the Catholic value of respecting all life and genocide is not on that list. They will be setting out 14,000 red flags around the campus to commemorate the deaths of Palestinian children that have lost their lives. Apparently these demonstrations are world wide. When I was a mail carrier back in the 90's a Palestinian family owned a small grocery store where I delivered mail. They gave me the black and white kefia to wear to keep myself cool during the heat of summer and always had a bottle of water for me during the heat. They were kind and gracious and grateful to be living in America. I know this isn't about cross stitch, but prayers for peace are needed. Be well, have a good Saturday.
Let the fun begin: Faith Hummingbird Test Stitch
It's time! Yay! I'm at the point in the Faith Hummingbird test stitch where I stitch the violet metallic wings. I'm loving the colors so far. I took a little artistic liberty by using neon green for accent leaves and the bird's head. I think it goes well with the bright blues and purples in the pillow border fabric. More pictures to follow. Here goes... !
Heartbreaking news, again…
4 law enforcement officers killed in Charlotte…our thoughts and prayers are with the families, friends, and fellow officers….

Good Morning
Genesis 41: 21-31
21 "When they had eaten them up,
no one would have known that
they had eaten them, for they
were just as ugly as at the beginning.
So I awoke.
22 "Also I saw in my dream, and
suddenly seven heads came up on
one stalk, full and good>
23 "Then behold, seven heads, withered, thin,
and blighted by east wind, sprang up after them.
24 "And the thin heads devoured the seven good heads.
So I told this to the magicians, but there was
no one who could explain it to me.
25 Then Joseph said to Pharaoh,
"The dreams of Pharaoh are one;
God has shown Pharaoh what He is about to do:
26 "The seven good cows are seven years,
and the seven good heads are seven years;
the dreams are one.
27 "And the seven thin and ugly cows which came up
after them are seven years, and the seven empty
heads blighted by the east wind
are seven years of famine.
28 "This is the thing which I have
spoken to Pharaoh. God has shown
Pharaoh what He is about to do.
29 "Indeed seven years of great
plenty will come throughout all the
land of Egypt;
30 "but after them seven years of
famine will arise, and all the plenty
will be forgotten in the land of
Egypt; and the famine will deplete
the land.
31 "So the plenty will not be known
in the land because of the famine
following, for it will be very severe.
Have a bless day!
